My dog Pete is an adventurer and managed to lacerate both of his front legs at two different times. Petcare got me in immediately and treated his wounds. The facility is very professional and the staff friendly. He recovered quickly, which gave me confidence in them. The fees seemed reasonable also.

I have been to this clinic before and have never had a negative experience, which is why I was disappointed by my most recent visit. I brought my cat in because she had been vomiting, had diarrhea, and was acting unusual for about a day. I wanted to be proactive and have her checked out before things potentially became more serious. She was also due for vaccines, but I was told they would not be administered while she wasn’t feeling well, which I understood. The exam determined that she was slightly dehydrated, and I was presented with a treatment plan that totaled nearly $400 for fluids, antibiotics, and other services. While I understand that veterinary care can be expensive, I felt pressured into accepting treatments that were presented as necessary despite the uncertainty of whether they would resolve the issue. When I chose to proceed only with the antibiotic because I was hesitant to spend that amount on what appeared to be a mild case of dehydration, the response I received felt judgmental and dismissive. What bothered me most, however, was the communication throughout the appointment. The veterinary technician came across as standoffish and unfriendly, and the veterinarian spent most of the conversation directing his explanations to my boyfriend, who was sitting quietly in the corner, rather than to me. This is my cat, and I was the one asking questions and making decisions regarding her care. Being repeatedly overlooked during the discussion felt disrespectful and unprofessional. I left feeling less like a valued client seeking care for my pet and more like I was being sold services. While I appreciate the work veterinary professionals do, this experience left me feeling unheard, judged, and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, it has made me reconsider whether I will return in the future.
