This one is long but worth the read. I had an urgent care visit for my dog on Tuesday May 12th. I brought him in for bloody stool, bloody vomit, dehydration, the works. This has been a reoccurring issue with my dog, getting progressively worse as he gets older. The vet techs and the receptionists were very kind, supportive, and helpful. I unfortunately cannot say the same for Dr. Chamberlain. Normally we see Dr. Dunn. He was not available. That’s okay, I just knew he needed to be seen. Frankly, I left that appointment extremely frustrated. Not only did we not find a solution after 700$ worth of testing. But Dr. Chamberlain went out of his way to say that he did not know what it was and couldn’t do anything besides fluids and cerenia because I didn’t pay for X-rays. After I went out of my way to explain that my dog did NOT eat something that was causing a blockage and that this issue is reoccurring and has a pattern he essentially said he didn’t believe me, then he went on to say, and these were his exact words, he said I should “reconsider if this is the dog for me” What kind of vet, tells someone who has brought their sick dog in, to rehome them. That is COMPLETELY unacceptable and disrespectful. My dog left with fluids and a nausea medication. He continued to have extremely bloody stool every 30 minutes to an hour for the entire night. There was absolutely no improvement. He was obviously in pain and we were not provided pain medication for him. I took him to a different vet on Wednesday, May 13th. They immediately informed me that this was NOT a blockage and they didn’t even do X-rays. Which is exactly what I told Dr. Chamberlain, but I was essentially ignored. They ran new tests and kept him on an IV all day. They have determined my dog has chronic pancreatitis. My dog is doing much better after getting home last night and his symptoms have improved significantly. They sent us home with pain meds, a medication to help with the diarrhea, and an actual game plan. I liked Lehi Animal Hospital. But after my encounter with Dr. Chamberlain, unfortunately I will be switching to a different vet. I felt that what he said to me was disrespectful, hurtful and completely unnecessary. I truly hope Dr. Chamberlain can find a more successful approach to interacting with his patients.

You killed my dog Chamberlain. You gave him the wrong meds that screwed over his kidneys and intestines, he convulsed non-stop because of the meds. You killed him. You ignored our calls when we were concerned.

Me and my cat felt so welcomed, from the front desk staff to the Vet Tech(s) and Dr. Chamberlain. They are very attentive, and answered every silly question of mine. I just adopted a 2yr old cat, so I didn't know how the cat would react, but Lehi Animal Hospital team handled very well, and the experience was very positive.
