This location is just out for your money. I paid well over $200 + for my dog to be tested for giarrdia, and was left a pretty demanding voicemail a few days later demanding that I pay more in order to get the result. I tried calling to question that, as I was not told beforehand. I ended up accidentally reaching the Logan location instead, and they told me over the phone that I should not have to pay to see the result- they gave me my result for free instead! That was enough to make me never return.
Went in with my aunt to get some work done with her cat, and they charged her more than double than it did compared to other places she’d gone before. They also made us feel bad by saying things like “what diet do you feed her?” “We recommend the science diet” the science diet is the most expensive one! Save your time and sanity and go somewhere else!

I am writing to share my recent experience at the Mt. View Veterinarian's Providence location. As a former satisfied client of their N. Logan office, I had high expectations, which unfortunately were not met during my recent visit for two cats with ear concerns.
My primary reason for the visit was to have my cats' ears cleaned. Upon arrival, I experienced a significant wait time despite an empty waiting room. The initial interactions involved a series of routine procedures by vet technicians, including microchip scanning and breath checks, before I even saw the veterinarian. When I inquired about the necessity of these steps, given my specific request for ear cleaning and my limited time, I was informed they were all required.
After nearly an hour of waiting and preliminary checks, the veterinarian finally entered the room. While she conducted a general examination (teeth, eyes, etc.), my primary concern regarding the ear infections was not immediately addressed. When I reiterated my desire for the ear cleaning, the veterinarian conveyed that she conducts "very detailed analyses" and suggested her approach might be different from what I was expecting.
Our conversation shifted to potential underlying causes like allergies, which I explicitly stated I did not wish to pursue at this stage. My preference was to thoroughly clean the ears first to assess if the infections recurred before exploring more extensive and costly diagnostics. While she initially seemed to agree with this approach, she then proposed a separate appointment for a sedated ear cleaning, stating it was the "only way to go."
At this point, I expressed my frustration with the proposed course of action and declined the sedated procedure, requesting instead that the ears be cleaned during the current visit. This request was denied. Feeling that no progress was being made on my initial reason for the visit, I decided to leave with my cats.
Upon checking out, I was informed of a charge of $260 for the visit, despite feeling that no direct action was taken to address the ear infections I had come for. When I asked the veterinarian to explain the charges, she stated it was for a "detailed examination." Our subsequent discussion regarding the collaborative nature of patient care became contentious, with the veterinarian asserting her medical opinion as the sole determinant of treatment.
While I understand the importance of thorough veterinary care, my experience at the Providence location felt characterized by an emphasis on extensive procedures and diagnostics that did not align with my immediate concerns or wishes for my pets' care. The communication style also felt dismissive of my input as a pet owner. Based on this visit, I do not believe this practice is the right fit for my animals' needs
Staff loves your pet and what they do. From front to back, all give great care. Docs and techs want and give the best for my dog.
Prices are fair. Gave me a good faith estimate range for services and came in true. Follow up phone calls and visits showed integrity of care
